Payment and ShipmentPaymentAuction invoices may be paid in cash, by EC card (upon presentation of some means of identification) or with a bank-guaranteed cheque. As a rule auction invoices are due immediately after the auction. Payment at a later date will be subject to prior agreement with Kunsthaus Lempertz and will be due within ten days. Payment by credit card is not possible.
Payment with foreign cheques or international bank transfer will be subject to a fee of EUR 25.00 (if this has not already been borne by the buyer). This fee will be added to the total amount on the auction invoice
According to §3I4 of the Germa law against money laundering Kunsthaus Lempertz is obliged to ask for a means of identification for cash payments over EUR 15.000,-.
ShipmentShould the purchases not be collected in person, depending upon the value, size, and material, we can arrange to have them sent to you per post, courier or shipment company. Please note that the costs and risks of shipment will be carried by the buyer. All purchases shipped by post or courier generally will be insured by us. Insurance costs will be listed on the auction invoice as part of the shipping costs. Should a shipping company be instructed, we recommend the buyer to take out an insurance with the company directly.
