19th Century
Three newly and re-discovered 19th century works are the highlights of this section: a newly discovered second version of Karl Friedrich Schinkel's painting “Gothic Church on a Rock at the Sea” from 1815, owned by the National Gallery Berlin (see left, lot 1879, 150/180,000); Jakob Becker's “Homecoming of the Reaper”, returning to Germany from an American collection (lot 1912, 120/130,000), and the “Landscape near Kaupanger” by the Norwegian romanticist, Johann Christian Dahl, until now only known through literature (lot 1901, 120/150,000).

Old Masters
The offer is led by landscapes and still lifes by Dutch and Flemish masters: an opulent fruit still life by Joris van Son (see above and right, lot 1670, 80/90,000), a village scene by Jan Brueghel the younger, dated around 1630 by Klaus Ertz (lot 1650, 90/100,000), a typical winter landscape by Claes Molenaer (lot 1665, 60/70,000), as well as a flower still life by Christoffel van den Berghe (lot 1645, 40/60,000).

Drawings
Two famous names in art history are at the centre of the offer: a Giulio Romano drawing in pen depicting Apollo's victory over a dragon (lot 1787, 15/20,000). Jan Brueghel the Elder's wooded landscape also shows a mythical scene – sleeping nymphs being watched by Satyrs (lot 1793, 20/25,000).

Sculptures
A Roman Corpus Christi, probably from the Maas region (lot 1730, 16/18,000), an Archangel Michael of the Neapolitan Trecento (see left, lot 1732, 18/20,000) as well as an Anna Selbdritt from Tyrol about 1510 (lot 1753, 20/22,000), represent the time–spanning and geographically diverse sculpture offer that will be augmented by the special auctions of the Steinmetz and Härle collections on the same day.
